The African Association of Anti-Corruption Authorities renews its wishes for peace and prosperity and extends his gratitude for your support during the year 2018, which has enabled it to achieve the following objectives:
- The organization of its 3rd Annual General Meeting in Dakar, Senegal on May 4th and 5th, 2018;
- The organization of the 5th AAACA‘s Executive Committee Meeting in Cairo, Egypt on 27 and 28 November 2018.
We would like to remind you that¸ during the 3rd Annual General Meeting in Dakar, it was noted by the partners and members of the Association, that AAACA is an important platform to fight against corruption and other forms of economic crime on the African continent, and important decisions have been taken to make the Association more visible and more active.
In implementing the recommendations of the Dakar Declaration, the members of the AAACA Executive Committee reaffirmed the importance of the Association in the fight against corruption and economic crime in Africa but noted that its missions are handicapped by thelack of human and financial capacity.
To resolve this issue the Executive Committee members have reminded all AAACA members to pay their outstanding annual subscription fees as a matter of urgencyand to strengthen cooperation with international partner organizations as it has been decided at Dakar.
In his will of fighting corruption in Africa in general and in Egypt in particular, His Excellency Mr. FATTAL AL-SISI, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt has accepted to organize a forum of African anti-corruption institutions to be coupled with AAACA's 4th Annual General Meeting in Cairo, Egypt in April 2019.
